PacifiCare Dental and Vision
PacifiCare Dental and Vision Administrators provides third-party administration of PPO vision-care plans, and HMO, PPO, and fee-for-service dental plans. They boast almost 720,000 members and is a subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems.
PacifiCare Vision is the new vision care PPO of the PacifiCare Health Systems' group of health care products. PacifiCare Vision is administered through PacifiCare Dental, formerly known as California Dental Health Plan, PacifiCare's subsidiary which manages dental and vision products.
PacifiCare Vision offers two products, each with a low and a high option:
- Eyewear Only – complements the medical HMO plans that offer a vision examination and covers the materials for corrective lenses like frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
- Eyewear Only Plus – provides a better frame benefit and a wider scope of lens options with co-pays.
Full Services pertains to the Eyewear Only programs and includes a comprehensive vision examination. The two full-service options are the Full Service Basic and the Full Service Plus plans.
