Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana
Quality counts, and you should know that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and its HMO Louisiana, Inc. subsidiary have once again earned a full accreditation renewal by URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.
Blue Cross’ Preferred Care PPO network earned the accreditation renewal in all three areas reviewed, including Health Network Standards, Health Utilization Management Standards and Case Management Standards. HMO Louisiana earned reaccreditation for its HMO network in Health Plan Standards.
With this latest round of reaccreditations, Blue Cross currently holds five URAC accreditations, including one of the first Privacy Standards accreditations awarded in the country.
